In support of the construction of the Wisdom Meditation Room

“The Great Annual Offering – A Once-a-Year Opportunity to Make Extraordinary Merit”

Sunday, 8 November 2026
Knaphill, Woking, Surrey · Everyone is welcome

What is Kathina?

Kathina is the Great Annual Offering in Buddhism – a once-a-year opportunity to make extraordinary merit by offering robes and requisites to the monastic community after the three-month Rains Retreat.

This year, we invite you to join us in supporting the construction of our Wisdom Meditation Room – a dedicated place where people from the United Kingdom and around the world can practise meditation, cultivate inner peace, and discover the timeless wisdom of Buddhism.

Together, we build a place for meditation. Together, we cultivate Peace Within, Peace Around, and Peace for the World.

New to the temple?

No experience needed

Newcomers are warmly welcome. Our volunteers will greet you, explain each part of the day and help you take part. Please wear modest, preferably white or light-coloured clothing.
